Pharmacodynamics
Allicin extract in Allium sativum has the following effects: Viricidal effects: It interacts with the nucleic acids of the Hepatitis B virus and thereby limiting its proliferation. LIVERONE induces cytotoxic T-lymphocytes which kills infected cells and produce specific antiviral cytokines
which are then used to purge HBV from a viable liver cells thereby intercepting in reverse transcription (“carbon copying”).
Bactericidal effects against E. coli, Salmonella typhi, Shigella dysenteriae, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus. Anti-inflammatory: reduces pains and feverishness. Bronchodilator: maintains clear respiratory airways.Albuminoids in Silybum marianum boost the immune system to fight the virus.
Ajoene in Allium sativum extract does the following: Anti-oxidants: help slow ageing process, looking young and fresh.
Diuretic effect (urination) and help remove toxic chemicals from the body via the kidney.
Pharmacokinetics
LIVER-ONE is ingested by mouth, rapidly absorbed and distributed extensively into the bloodstream after metabolism where it is finally excreted by kidney in the urine.
Dosage and administration
Four dessert spoonfuls (40mls) three times daily before food.
NB: After three months of medication Hepatitis B viral load should be done at Lancet laboratory to see a reduction in viral load. If condition does not improve or viral load did not reduce 3months after medication stop and report to your physician.
Contraindications
LIVER-ONE is contraindicated in patients with clinically significant hypersensitivity to any of the components contained in the formulation.
Adverse reactions: One reported case of feeling weak while taking LIVER-ONE which client claimed subsided after she stopped it. However, hematological test remained normal (BUE & Cr, LFT. Hb, WBC count) and respond to treatment was progressive.
Precautions
Keep out of reach of people. Keep in a cool dry place. Shake well before use
Use in pregnancy and lactation: No evidence of foetal mortality of liver-one in pregnant women . No research has been done to establish its excretion in breast milk. LVER-ONE should be used in pregnancy and in lactating women only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.
Treatment of over dosage
Induce vomiting
Interactions with other drugs or foods
Synthetic multivitamins and artificial sweetener-containing products (example saccharin) tend to compete with the substrate thus preventing effective plasma binding. Therefore LIVER-ONE must be used with caution when taking multivitamins. Glucocorticoids, cytostatics – antimetabolites/anticancer agents, and opiods. Allicin as an antioxidant in garlic may increase the effect of liver damage when taken with alcohol. Don’t take alcohol when taken garlic products.
Storage conditions
Keep out of reach of children. Keep in a cool dry place. Shake well before use.
